HUNDREDS of schoolchildren have taken part in a campaign to raise money for people with heart disease.
Youngsters from primary schools across the borough are aiming to donate a target of 500 bags which are filled with unwanted clothing and other items to be sold in British Heart Foundation shops.
Pupils and headteachers from Warren Road Primary School in Orpington and the Highway School, Orpington, made their donations at the Walnuts shopping centre last Friday.
Walnuts manager Martin Price said: "It is such good community spirit to see schools helping out a local charity campaign. Warren Road Primary School and The Highway Primary School should both be proud of what they have achieved.
