More than 1,400 Bromley primary school pupils braved the cold and muddy conditions to compete in the borough’s cross country competition at Crystal Palace.

Children in Year’s 3 to 6 took part in the Bromley Primary Schools’ Cross Country Competition last week supported by Blackheath & Bromley Harriers Athletics club.

Co-organiser, Richard Coe of Parish CE Primary School, said: “We are delighted that so many schools support our events. We always strive to ensure that the race meetings are a tremendous success for all participants and their supporters, and that it all makes for an unforgettable sporting experience.”

The winning teams included Chislehurst CE Primary, Parish CE Primary and Balgowan Primary.
