Pupil stabbed

A SCHOOLGIRL was stabbed in the back of the head by another pupil during a lesson on Monday. Police were called to the Priory School, Tintagel Road, Orpington, at 10.50am

A SCHOOLGIRL was stabbed in the back of the head by another pupil during a lesson on Monday.

Police were called to the Priory School, Tintagel Road, Orpington, at 10.50am where they found a13-year-old girl with a pair of scissors embedded in her head.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough with 'non-life threatening' injuries. The scissors had not pierced the skull and she was later discharged.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested and later bailed to return to Bromley police station on February 14. It's believed the boy and girl had been arguing when the incident happened.

A police spokesman said the scissors were being used in the lesson and had not been brought in to school as a weapon.

The Priory School refused to comment.
