An informal open day is set to be held at St George’s Chapel, inviting the local community to share their memories and artefacts of Biggin Hill.

Items and stories shared during the session could help to shape some of the key narratives and content in the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum, with the trust responsible for the museum organising the event.

Chairman of the trust, Bruce Walker, said: “This is an exciting time for Biggin Hill Memorial Museum and there is rightly a lot of interest from local people.

“Preparation and planning work is underway and this event is part of this.

“If you have something which you believe is unique and special which is specifically related to Biggin Hill and the historic role it has played, please do come along.”

The open day will be held on March 18 from 11am to 4pm at RAF St George’s Chapel of Remembrance, Biggin Hill.
