It’s the fourth time the festival has taken place

Priory Live Music Festival returned for its fourth year in Orpington at the weekend.

Orpington 1st executive director, Sharon Baldwin, said: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Talking Box Events to bring Priory Live to the people. The festival provides a brilliant platform for emerging talent and it’s great to be attracting visitors from across the region to showcase everything the town has to offer.”

Top of the bill for this year’s line-up were Orpington residents Starts Hill, who demonstated why they’re tipped for big things to come.

Also back this year, was the acoustic garden, with rising local star Harrison Bodnar.

And as has become tradition, a fireworks display wowed the crowds and marked the end of another year for the festival.

Beckenham resident, Laura Johnson, 31, said: “We’ve had a wonderful time, the kids loved it and it’s such a friendly vibe. The fireworks were awesome. It’s fab that the business community fund these events.”

Talking Box’s Nick Barclay, added: “As a true music festival this was the best yet. it just seems to get better every year; the bands, the fireworks, the crowd - all amazing. And to see a local band smash the headline slot was a revelation.”
