THE younger brother of killed teen Rob Knox is following in his footsteps with a successful acting career.
Jamie Knox, of Maidstone Road, Swanley, appeared in an episode of The Bill while training at the D&B School of Performing Arts in Bromley, where Rob was when he scooped a role in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
The 17-year-old, who gave evidence against his older brother's murderer Karl Bishop at the Old Bailey trial earlier this month, appeared in the episode One Day But Not Today in November as Rory Gallagher.
Bonnie Sullivan said the last few months at the Bromley Road school had its highs and lows.
She added: "Words can't describe how we feel losing Rob. We all adored him here and he was such a big part of our school, not just for his wonderful talent in drama, but for his hugely friendly personality. He was always around to help backstage with productions helping all the younger children. It is a great loss to us. Everybody loved him."
But the school has gone on to secure more success stories, with roles for his younger brother Jamie as well as other former students, including Marvin Humes, getting through to the X Factor finals as part of JLS. EastEnders actress Megan Jossa, who played Grant Mitchell's daughter Courtney, is now playing Debbie in the West End's Billy Elliot and seven students are appearing in the Lloyd Webber production of Oliver!
Ms Sullivan added: "We celebrated our 20 year anniversary and are very proud of all the children that attend D&B whether it is for fun, and confidence building, or those who wish to take it further and pursue a career in the industry."
Auditions for D&B Management are taking place next month, for more information call 020 8698 8880.
