The car hit a bus in Chipperfield Road

Police are searching for a driver who ran away from the scene of his crashed car on Tuesday.

Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10.16pm on June 13 to reports of a crash in Chipperfield Road, near the junction with St Peter’s Lane, Orpington.

When they reached the scene, they found a car had hit a bus, but that the male driver of the car had fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Officers used a helicopter to search the area, but did not manage to locate the driver.

They have since issued a description of the driver: he is white, about five feet 10 inches tall, of slim bulid. He was wearing a gret tracksuit and white trainers.

Police have stated enquiries are continuing.
