A man failed in a bid to rob Barclays Bank, in Bromley High Street, last month.
Detectives from the Met Police’s Flying Squad are now appealing for information to trace a man they would like to speak with in connection with the attempted robbery at around 1.30pm on October 18.
After entering the bank, a man passed a note demanding money to one of the cashiers. When they declined, the man left.
Det Con Hollands said: “This is a very clear image and I am certain that someone will recognise him. Although he was unsuccessful on this occasion, I would urge anyone with information to contact police.”
It is thought Barclays are willing to offer a reward of up to £25,000 for information.
Anyone who recognises the man should contact detectives on 020 7407 6319, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
