Police investigating murder of Nathan Murray in Sydenham appeal for help

Detectives investigating the murder of Nathan Murray in Sydenham are appealing for the public’s help to trace a car that was at the scene of his murder.
A black Fiat Punto, registration JU07 LEZ, was in the High Street, Sydenham. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are keen to trace where that car is now.
Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons, who is leading the investigation, said: “Have you seen a black Fiat Punto with the registration number JU07 LEZ anytime after lunchtime on Monday, 1 June?
“I am asking for the public’s help to find this car. If you have seen it or know where it is now please get in touch with us.”
Officers were called by London Ambulance Service at 12.08pm on Monday to Sydenham High Street, after a man was found suffering a stab wound to his chest.
He was taken to a south London hospital where he subsequently died of his injuries on Tuesday (June 2) at 1.25am. Previously named by detectives as 18-year old Nathan Murray, from Sydenham, he has now been formally identified.
A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
