A man and woman were both assaulted

Two football fans were attacked by a group of people in Wembley on the day of Crystal Palace’s FA Cup final last month.

Detectives in Brent are appealing for information after a woman in her 40s was targeted by the gang, causing her to fall to the floor.

They then kicked her foot repeatedly, putting her in hospital where she received treatment for a dislocated foot.

A man in his 40s was punched in the face by the group outside Wembley Stadium train station.

The main suspect is described as a young white male, short and stocky with distinctive side burns down to his jaw.

One line of enquiry is the pair were singled out as Crystal Palace fans by the group who attacked them.

DC Lauren Taylor-Rose from Brent CID, said: “This was a nasty unprovoked attack on a couple enjoying cup final day in Wembley.

“The woman has lasting damage as a result of the foot injury from what meant to be a fun day out.
