A SUSPECTED robber is being sought by police a year after he appeared on Crimewatch.

Algerian Mustapha Selmanui (pictured), 37, is wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery in Rangefield Road, Bromley, at 1.20am on August 4, last year.

A man broke into the flat, turned off the electricity and lay in wait for its 37-year-old occupier to return home.

On arrival, the victim was attacked but managed to fight off the assailant and escape into the street. Police later found an unused hammer and sword at the flat. Selmanui is thought to pose a danger to himself and others.

Detective Constable Andy Collin said: "People should not approach him if they see him in the street, but call the police if they have any information that can help us track him down."

Selmani is also known under a variety of aliases, including Reda Saidji, Mustapha Dahel, Michel Martines, Nadir Ait Tayeb, and Allesandro Castellani.

Call DC Andy Collin at Bromley Police with information on 020 8284 9964 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
