A DISPERSAL Zone to tackle anti-social behaviour has been put in place by police.

The Bromley Common dispersal zone, covering Southlands Road, Southborough Road and Lane, and Crown Lane, was put in place on August 9.

Until November 8, police will be entitled to disperse groups of two or more people loitering in the area and restrict those under 16 from being in the area between 9pm and 6am.

If people do not comply, it is an offence under section 32 of the Anti-social Behaviour Act, punishable by three months imprisonment or a fine of up to £2,500.
