Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident at Beckenham Junction Station where a man exposed himself to a 28-year-old woman.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident at around 7.15pm on Saturday June 21.

The woman was waiting for a London Victoria-bound train when she was approached by a man who exposed himself and began behaving inappropriately.

The woman asked another woman to stay with her after moving away from the man.

Det Con Sarah Garden said: “The woman moved away and asked another woman on the platform to stay with her.

“The victim and the man both left the train at Brixton station.”

Det Con Garden added: “We will not accept any type of unwanted sexual behaviour on the rail network and will do everything we can to bring those responsible to account.

“It was a Saturday night in Brixton and we are confident people will have seen what happened.”

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed until July 18.
