Police investigating two allegations of sexual assault in Chislehurst are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man they wish to speak to.

A 16-year-old girl was assaulted on Wednesday, September 21, while waiting for a bus at a stop on Camden Close.

She felt something rubbing against her back and thought it was people pushing her as the bus stop was busy, but when she turned around she saw a man rubbing his groin against her back. The man then got on a 161 bus.

The same man is believed to have committed a similar offence on Monday, July 4.

A man boarded a route 161 bus at a bus stop on Chislehurst High Street and stood behind a 43-year-old woman.

As the bus moved away, he pressed himself against her and the woman felt his genitals on her back. She turned around and the man moved away.

The man is described as of Asian appearance, about 50 years old and 5ft 5in tall.

Officers believe the man regularly travels on buses around Bexley and Bromley.

Anyone with information should contact Police Constable Naomi Goodman on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
