Petts Wood teacher Jeremy Forrest stands trial for child abduction

The trial of Petts Wood teacher Jeremy Forrest has begun, with the 30-year-old accused of abducting one of his pupils.

Mr Forrest, of Chislehurst Road, arrived at Lewes Crown Court where a jury was sworn in yesterday and the prosecution opened its case.

The former teacher at Bishop Justus School, in Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley, denies child abduction.

His trial is due to last two weeks.
