The father of missing teacher Jeremy Forrest, who fled to France with his 15-year-old pupil Megan Stammers, has made an emotional plea for the pair to return home.

Jim Forrest, of Petts Wood, spoke at a press conferences yesterday (Thursday 27) where he fought back tears alongside his wife Julie.
He said: “Hi Jeremy, I hope this message reaches you and you are both ok. There are a lot of people back home that are desperate to hear from you.
“All I’m asking is for one of you to make a call or send an email to let us know that you are both safe.
“We are all here for you both and just need to hear from you. Please, please get in contact.”
A former teacher at Bishop Justus school, in Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley, Jeremy, 30, was last seen more than a week ago as he and Megan boarded a Dover-to-Calais ferry.
Megan was reported missing on Friday of last week when she failed to turn up for school in Eastbourne, where Forrest had been working.
Sussex police have issued a European arrest warrant for his arrest and Ch Insp Jason Tingley claims the case is still a “top priority”.
However, efforts by French police have been limited due to a lower age of consent across the channel.
