JJ said he was really excited after being asked to be a part of this year’s panto.

He added: “I’ve always wanted to fly, I’m pretty scared of heights but I’m hoping I won’t be going up too high.

“The producer was telling me that I’ll be flying out in to the audience so that’s going to be awesome.

“The cast are great, Rob that plays Mrs Smee is so much fun, as is Rob Cummings who plays Hook, they have been making everyone laugh loads today.”

When asked how much his life has changed since appearing on the X Factor in 2012, JJ said: “It has absolutely changed.

“We have been able to travel all over and have met some lovely people.

“I guess growing up it’s a dream come true to be able to be a singer or an actor, and X Factor made the dream come true for me.”

Peter Pan will be JJ’s second pantomime, having played Prince Charming in Blackpool last year.

He said: “that was great, but being Peter Pan is going to be really fun because he’s a bit more cheeky.

“Oh and did I mention I am going to be flying?

JJ said that Hook is his favourite Peter Pan character.

He added: “He’s a bit misunderstood isn’t he?
“The Hook character in our pantomime is really funny too as well as being the bad guy.”

According to JJ, audiences can expect from this show something “spirited, funny and traditional.”

“There are loads of ‘ahh’ moments and lots of laughs,” he added.

“I’ve heard the venue is amazing and the audiences really get involved here in Gravesend, so it’s going to be totally wicked.”
