A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after being trapped under a van for days.

Firefighters freed the 65-year-old at around 7pm on September 24 after a neighbour spotted the man under the vehicle at his home in Northlands Avenue, Orpington.

He was taken to Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill, suffering from hypothermia and head injuries and remains in a serious condition.

It's believed the man was trying to repair the van when he got stuck.

A police spokesman said: "We got a call from a neighbour yesterday evening at 7pm who saw him under the van in his back garden. Apparently he'd been there for a couple of days.
