A pensioner from Orpington has been jailed for sexually assaulting a girl of eleven.

Peter Honour, 74, of Alma Road, assaulted the girl repeatedly when she visited his family home between the ages of 11 and 14.

The woman contacted police about the assaults, which happened some time ago, in 2013.

Honour was found guilty of two counts of sexual activity with a girl under 16 and jailed for four years at Croydon Crown Court.

Detective Constable Ben Briselden said: “The bravery of his victim in coming forward should be commended.”
