Pedestrian dies after being hit by lorry on M25 near Orpington

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry on the M25 clockwise near Orpington.

The man, thought to be from Kent, was pronounced dead at the scene after the incident at around 3.30am this morning.

Accident investigation work is taking place at the scene of the crash between junction three for Swanley, and junction four for Orpington.

The road is currently closed and is likely to remain shut until rush hour traffic fades at around 11am. A diversion has been put in place.
