TWO people traffickers were jailed last for trying to smuggle an illegal immigrant into the UK via Stansted Airport.

John Okafor, 37, of Queen Adelaide Court, Queen Adelaide Road, Penge and Mcdominic Michael, 28, from Plumstead admitted assisting illegal entry into the UK.

Okafor, described by Judge Anthony Goldstaub QC as an "agent", received 18 months on Friday, Feb

6 and Michael, who had loaned his passport for the scam received 10 months in jail.
