Walkers from l-r: Kate Sidwell, Trudi Dawson and Kate Cameron

A 14-time Paralympic medal winning swimmer is supporting three Beckenham women on a walk to raise money for a blind charity.

Chris Holmes MBE, who is blind, is backing Kate Cameron, Trudi Dawson and Kate Sidwell on their 15 mile Fight for Sight Nightwalk on September 21, starting at 11pm.

They are fundraising for the cause because all have children with severe sight problems.

Kate Sidwell said: “To have the support of an athlete like Chris Holmes is amazing. We’d like to raise at least £5,000.”
