Gary Mercer and Sarah Clout welcomed hundreds of vistors to taste-test food and drink from some of the country’s top artisan producers, as part of Holwood Farm Shop’s first ever festival of food.

The deli, in New Road Hill, opened in 2012 after years of refurbishment on the site - which was bought in a dilapidated state in 2008.

Sarah said: “It was a great event, we’ve had tremendous support since we opened in October last year and Gary and I would like to thank everyone who’s contributed to such a fantastic first year.”

The shop owner was heard by around 250,000 listeners on BBC Radio Kent, who covered the event at the weekend.
