Writers spent a year eating curry

Curry house Pink Garlic has been chosen as Bromley’s Indian restaurant of the year by a food blog.

Writers from the Chilli Diaries, who spent an arduous year visiting restaurants in the borough, described the Chatterton Road venue as “outstanding” and “a gem”.

The website said: “Pink Garlic’s address has been a bit of a graveyard for curry houses over the years. Several short-lived restaurants have failed to compete with the excellent Shampan II, so close by.

“Judging by how busy this place is though, even during the week, we think Pink Garlic is here to stay.

“The atmosphere is really good. Upbeat, dancey music and modern surroundings give it a party vibe and the friendly staff make everyone relaxed and comfortable

“The menu is based around the curry house classics but there are a number of modern twists. The cooking is of a very high standard - they tick all the boxes.”
