An Orpington woman whose mother died of ovarian cancer last year, is encouraging people to take part in a fundraising walk.

Julie Donovan said: “Each day in the UK, 12 women lose their lives to ovarian cancer. Together, with every step taken, and every pound raised, we will get closer to beating ovarian cancer.”

The 10k Walk for One Million in Hertfordshire, organised by charity Target Ovarian Cancer, takes place on October 7.
