Glass shattered into the eyes of a car passenger after a brick smashed through the windscreen as she travelled along the M25.

Georgina Hillier, 23, from Orpington, also suffered cut wrists.

She was with her partner on the M25 in Dartford on Sunday at around 1pm when she noticed two men standing on Watling Street bridge. As they passed under the bridge an object, thought to be a brick, was thrown at their car and the men ran off towards Greenhithe.

Ms Hillier was taken to Darent Valley Hospital to be treated. Sgt Sarah Rivett said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who may have further information in relation to this incident.”
