Runners handed over a cheque for £1,500 to a hospice after more than a year of fundraising.
The Orpington Road Runners Club made Harris HospisCare its chosen charity for the 2011.
They handed over the money last Tuesday evening (13) after fundraising events throughout the year including the an annual 10km race.
The club’s Charity Coordinator, Eric Enock, said; “It has been a pleasure raising money for such a wonderful charity. Many of our runners have had family members or friends looked after by the hospice, so to be able to support them this year was fantastic.”
Harris HospisCare fundraiser Simon Pitts added: “We are so grateful to all the Orpington Runners who took worked so hard to raise this incredible amount for us. It was a privilege to meet many of the runners and listen to their amazing achievements at marathons and running events throughout the UK.”
It costs Harris HospisCare £1.5m every year to continue its free services to people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses throughout Bromley.
