Orpington man detained under Mental Health Act over St Paul’s Cray church attack

An Orpington man who launched a blade-wielding attack on St Barnabas Church, in Rushet Road, St Paul’s Cray in August has been detained under the Mental Health Act.

Malcolm Holland, 56, of Silverdale Road, was sentenced at Croydon Crown Court on Monday after pleading guilty to 10 charges including assault by beating and possessing a bladed article.
