Fundraisers estimate £4,000 was raised

An Orpington hospice has raised an expected £4,000 after it’s annual Christmas market.

Held every year on the grounds of St Christopher’s hospice, this year’s event featured a chocolate tombola, and stalls offering cakes, candles and knitted clothes.

There was also a chance to meet Father Christmas, with Santa’s Grotto popped up at the market, attracting visitors young and old.

Andra Grecu, a member of St Christopher’s fundraising team praised volunteers from the community, including from the SGN.

She said: “We would’ve really struggled to get everything ready in time without their help and we had so many compliments about our Santa’s Grotto.

“The team’s hard work definitely paid off as we anticipate to raised more than £4,000 to help continue the hospice’s work.”
