Employees at an Orpington firm have raised more than £3,000 for charity through a range of fundraising initiatives.

A team from the Crofton Road branch of investment management firm Redmayne-Bentley held sweepstakes, dress-down days and other events in aid of children’s hospice charity Demelza.

In September, they took part in a Thames Bridges Trek, crossing 16 bridges over the River Thames in a 25km hike from Fulham to Southwark.

The total raised in their year of challenges came to £3,610.

Investment support executive Anita Evans said: “We initially had a £500 target at the back of our minds, so to raise over £3,600 is amazing. We’re all really proud of what we have achieved.”

Tamsyn Clark, director of fundraising at Demelza, said: “We are very grateful to all the staff at Redmayne-Bentley who really did put their best feet forward for us!”
