A 92-year-old woman killed by a car in Orpington last week has been named as Sylvia Constance Bousted.

Emergency services were called to Crofton Road at around 10.15am on January 21 after receiving reports of a car hitting a pedestrian.

The elderly woman was taken to Kings College Hospital, in Denmark Hill, where she died shortly after arrival.

A post mortem, which took place on Friday, gave her cause of death as multiple injuries.

The car, a Jaguar X Type, stopped at the scene and the driver was not arrested.

Officers are now looking for possible witnesses to the accident, and are particularly interested in tracing a white car which stopped at the scene before driving off towards Locksbottom before police arrived.

They also wish to speak with a woman waiting at a nearby bus stop who may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone with information should call police on 020 8285 1574.
