Residents at a care home in Orpington celebrated all things cockney with the help of some special guests.

The Care UK team at Foxbridge House opened the doors to the care home on Sevenoaks Road for a performance by cockney entertainer, Mickie Driver, who donned his pearly king costume to perform some top East End hits.

Residents were also tempted with a delicious selection of traditional cockney seafood throughout the afternoon, before dancing the night away along to Chas & Dave’s biggest hits.

Home manager at Foxbridge House, Carol McCormack, said: “We were thrilled to welcome Mickie Driver to the home for what was a memorable afternoon at Foxbridge House.

“The cockney performance was a big hit with the residents, and for many of those living with dementia it proved to be an effective reminiscence activity.”
