AN OPEN garden season is taking place across the borough to raise money for St Christopher s Hospice. The season starts this

AN OPEN garden season is taking place across the borough to raise money for St Christopher's Hospice.

The season starts this Saturday with the gardens at St Christopher's at 51-59 Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham from 11am to 2pm.

The open day will include demonstrations by Morris dancers, lace makers and wood tuners as well as flower stalls, refreshments and a raffle.

The first Orpington Open Garden - at 8 Lucerne Road will be open on June 14 between 2 and 5pm.

This 150ft garden is opened under the National Garden Scheme with St Christopher's being the owners' nominated charity

On Saturday, July 4, 9 Jews Walk in Sydenham will open from 1 to 5pm with a complimentary glass of wine thrown in.

The festival draws to a close at 10 Homestead Road, Chelsifeld Park, Orpington, on Sunday, August 16 between 12 noon and 5pm.
