Onam festival in Bromley is a huge success

Hundreds of people attended the festival.

The Indian Malayalee community in Bromley celebrated Onam, a secular festival celebrated in Kerala by people of all religions, on Sunday.

It was organised by the Bromley Malayalee Association (BMA).

The celebration took place at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, and the programme was inaugarated by the Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Julian Benington, who lit the lamp.

He was accompanied by Mayoress Valerie Benington.

The day included folk and classical dance performances and music.
