AN ASSISTANT manager of a nightclub is due to appear in court today (24) charged with possessing two knives.

Amanda Brown, 35, of Gwydyr Road, Bromley, is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates Court after police found a kitchen knife and a butterfly knife in a car she was driving.

Ms Brown, who works at Delano's night club in East Street, Bromley was stopped by officers in Orchard Street, Bromley, just after midnight on November 6 last year.

Police found the weapons along with 11 wraps of cocaine in the vehicle. Ms Brown, a 15-year-old boy from Lewisham and 20-year-old man from Lambeth were arrested on suspicion of intent to supply drugs but after investigation the charges were later dropped.

Last Wednesday, Ms Brown was charged with possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place and one count of possession of an offensive weapon.

Nobody from Delano's was available for comment at the time of going to press.
