Grand Cru Co has opened on Kelsey Park Road
A new fine wine merchant has opened near Beckenham High Street.
Grand Cru Co, the only wine merchant in Beckenham, is making the very best wines far more accessible with its new shop on Kelsey Park Road.
Owner Andy Rose, who also runs a wine trading business, has worked in the industry for more than 20 years and is bringing his lifetime passion and knowledge to his home town.
Having cultivated long term relationships with the world’s best vineyards, Mr Rose stocks a selection that simply cannot be found in supermarkets.
He also takes pride in hand picking every wine in the shop as a perfect example of each grape variety or region.
Mr Rose said: “Opening Grand Cru Co in Beckenham is the fulfilment of a lifetime ambition.
“A fine wine merchant is something that has been missing on our High Street.
“It is a thrilling new venture for me and I am looking forward to dispelling some of the snobbery that can be associated with wine.
“I hope that anyone will feel they can come into the shop, chat to my friendly staff and find something they love that suits their taste and budget.”
Grand Cru Co sells wine by the bottle or case as well as magnums and larger bottles, which are great for celebrations and gifts.
Prices start at £8.50 a bottle with free local delivery on cases.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to chat about the wine and there is always a selection open to sample.
The shop also runs private tasting events.
