AFTER six years of fundraising, villagers have saved enough to buy a new community bus.

Members of Hayes Village Association have collected £33,000 and have bought a Renault Master van which seats 14 and has a hydraulic lift, with capacity for two wheelchairs.

The bus is for the use of the community and anyone who wishes to use it should contact John Moren on 0208 460 6726.
