Travelodge hope to open three new hotels in Bromley.

Hotel chain Travelodge is looking to add three new hotels in Bromley which they claim could generate more than £6million for the local economy.

The company, which already operates two hotels in the borough, has chosen Beckenham, Bromley South and Orpington as its preferred sites.

Joining hotels in London Road, Bromley and Croydon Road, Penge, it hoped the new sites could provide up to 60 new jobs in the areas.

Grant Hearn, chief executive of Travelodge hotels, said: “Our two existing hotels in Bromley are performing strongly all year round.

“Whether it be business travellers, leisure customers or families coming to visit loved ones, we are regularly achieving high occupancy levels.

“Our target locations in Bromley are all suitable for a Travelodge hotel and we hope to be able to make further announcements about specific sites soon.”
