It will offer electrical, plumbing, engineering and heating training

A new training facility for apprenticeships i electrical, plumbing, engineering and heating and ventilation careers has opened in Orpington.

The JTL facility also offers traineeships and considered one of the top work-based learning providers in England and Wales.

The training site has been opened on the ground floor of JTL’s headquarters in Orpington.

It can support 240 apprentices and 40 short training programmes for qualified professionals.

Local MP Jo Johnson was at the opening of the centre.

He said: “I was delighted to see this facility in Orpington High Street and to meet some of the apprentices who will benefit.

“This facility is an excellent use of space on Orpington High Street and I commend JTL for their dynamism in taking this opportunity.

“I look forward to learning about their progress and wish everyone involved the best at the beginning of this exciting enterprise.”
