Developers have bought land

ELDERLY people in Chislehurst could benefit from new sheltered accommodation under proposals from retirement home builders McCarthy and Stone.

The company has bought the Queen Mary House site in Manor Park Road and is planning to build a complex there. It already has a complex in St Paul’s Cray Road.

A public exhibition is planned soon and there will be a chance for villagers, business owners and interest groups to discuss the proposals with the company and give their views. People living nearby will be shown the plans before the main exhibition.

A spokesperson for McCarthy and Stone said: “There is a need for this type of accommodation in Chislehurst.”

For more information, call the company free on 0800 298 7040.
