New lifts at Bromley South end years of campaigning

PUBLISHED: 17:35 07 September 2012

The installation of two new lifts at Bromley South station last week marked the end of years of campaigning for disabled access on to platforms.

The improved access is the first stage of a multi-million pound improvement project at the station that will also see a more spacious ticket hall and refurbished toilets.

Campaign group Access for All succesfully petitioned the Department of Transport in 2009, backed by Bromley and Chislehurst MP Bob Neill.
