Nelson Mandela favourites Soweto Gospel Choir to sing at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre

Soweto Gospel Choir returns to the UK this autumn and will be visiting the Churchill Theatre in Bromley next Sunday (November 17). The Grammy Award-winning choir will undertake a limited UK tour to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Over the last decade, Soweto Gospel Choir has brought joy to audiences all over the world.

They have collaborated, recorded and performed with artists including U2, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Robert Plant and Celine Dion.

They have performed in front of Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Many tours have followed and the choir are still feted across the country. Internationally, they are acclaimed as one of the great vocal ensembles.

Along the way they have won two Grammys, an Emmy and an Oscar nomination. They have just recorded their sixth album, Divine Decade.

Soweto Gospel Choir’s show at the Churchill Theatre in High Street begins at 7.30pm next Sunday.
