The Three Wise Men, Mary, Joseph and their donkey are set to follow the star from Bethlehem to Bromley for a live nativity scene in the town centre.

The interactive live event will take place on December 15 in Market Square next to the Christmas tree.

Professional actors and a live donkey will give performances from 6pm to 9pm. Busker Si Cranstoun will also be providing live music and entertainment for shoppers and visitors.

Councillor Peter Morgan, for recreation, said: “The nativity scene will bring the story of Christmas to Bromley for the whole family to enjoy. Like the three Wise Men this Christmas, come along to Bromley show the children how Christmas began and whilst you are there, do some Christmas shopping.

“We’re also offering free parking in the heart of the town centre on festive Thursdays.

Shoppers can park for free in the Civic Centre and Hill car parks in Bromley town centre every Thursday until December 22 from 3pm to 9pm.

The Civic Centre car park will have more spaces from Monday December 12 until Monday January 2.

The annual Christmas Markets in High Street run from Friday December 9 to 23 from 9am to 5pm selling gifts, crafts, jewellery, plants, fresh vegetables, preserves and English and German specialities.
