A 16-YEAR-OLD boy murdered after being challenged to a fight in a park has been named.

Police were called to the brawl in Home Park Recreation Ground, in Winchfield Road, Sydenham yesterday (Wednesday) at around 6.15pm where they found Nick Pearton suffering from stab wounds.

He was taken to a south London hospital but died shortly after arriving.

A Facebook page set up in memory of the teen has scores of messages from friends and family.

One from his sister, Victoria Pearton, 23, who went to Bromley College reads: "R.i.p lil bro... keep looking down on us and we will keep looking up! it wont be the same without you! always thinking of you. and we love you lots more than words can describe x x x x x x x."

Forensic officers were at the scene last night. Police said "a number" of male youths had been arrested and remain in custody.
