Eltham College can now start construction on a new building and sixth form centre

For the first time in over 50 years, major building works are set to take place at a Mottingham school.

Eltham College, an independent school based in the town, had expansion plans approved by Bromley council earlier this month.

The school’s existing 1960s wing extension is set to make way for a new three-storey building which will house classrooms, a sixth form study centre.

Headmaster Guy Sanderson said: “We are delighted that all of the hard work and detail that has gone into the design of the new building has been given the go ahead by the council.

“This is an exciting phase of development for the college as we look to enhance our teaching and learning spaces.”
