Moped riders spray fire extinguishers into cars around Beckenham

Two vehicles were targeted

A gang of moped riders left five people needing treatment after spraying fire extinguishers at their vehicles over the weekend.

Emergency services were called to Kelsey Park Road at around 6.25pm on Sunday, amid reports of an assault.

A spokesperson from Met Police said: “Enquiries established that eight males two up on four mopeds had sprayed a powered fire extinguisher at the occupants of two vehicles at the location.

“The suspects subsequently made off.”

The incident left five people, three men and two women, requiring treatment for minor injuries at the scene.

None of the injured required hospital treatment.

Days after the incident, police have made no arrests, but assure that “enquiries are ongoing”.
