Moped rider rushed to hospital after colliding with stationary car in Crown Lane, Bromley

Officers are awaiting an update on the condition of a moped rider who was involved in a crash on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to Crown Lane in Bromley, near the A21, at around 1.45pm.

Soon after the moped rider was rushed to hospital, and officers are awaiting an update on his condition.

A spokesperson from London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.47pm to a road traffic collision in Crown Lane, Bromley.

“We sent an ambulance, three paramedics in fast cars and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. The first paramedic arrived at the scene in less than two minutes.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene, and it has since reopened.

London Fire Brigade crews were called to the scene just after 1.45pm, but left the road at 2.11pm after it was established no casualties had been trapped in the crash.
