A MOATED manor will be open to the pubic for the first time this weekend.

Orpington and District Archeological Society (ODAS) are inviting the public to explore Scadbury Moated Manor in St Pauls Wood Hill, Chislehurst, this Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4.30pm.

Visitors can explore the island's ruined architecture, experience the hustle and bustle of a Tudor kitchen and watch a live excavation in progress. ODAS, a voluntary organisation that has been in operation since 1975, have devised a self-guided trail and a detailed exhibition.
