THE body of an elderly woman was found hanging from a tree near a school.

Police were called in the early hours of last Thursday morning after a woman saw the body of a Chinese woman, aged 73, hanging from a tree in Pickhurst Park, West Wickham.

The woman was later identified at Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, after members of her family reported her missing at Bromley police station.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

The woman who found her, who was walking through the park with her young daughter, was treated for shock by emergency services and later released.
