Semi-finalist in the Miss England 2018 competition, Prianka Sivanathan, is raising awareness for the Miss World charity ‘Beauty with a Purpose’.

The 25-year-old business management graduate, from Orpington, has hosted cake sales as well as a new year’s dinner and dance, where she auctioned her own art work.

She managed to raise £1,025 on the night.

Prianka, who in May will also be doing a 5K run for the charity Mind, said: “Modelling is quite new to me, I have never done it before and the main attraction for me was the charity part.

“I want to raise money and awareness for charities and this is a great way to give them a voice.”

Angie Beasley, Miss England national director, said: “This competition is about being beautiful inside and out.”

Since its creation, Beauty with a Purpose has raised over £2bn.
